For the difficulty, if you have never played a Trials game, don't listen to people saying Fusion is easy. If upgrades did affect performance, it would play havoc with the bike selection process (especially since statistics aren't displayed), and would result in players having unfair 'hidden' advantages in leaderboards and multiplayer matches. Trials Fusion is an arcade motorcycle game. Evolution has a more gritty feeling whereas Fusion is more colorful, modern/futuristic and has also more variety in its environments.

Unlike HD it was released on the PC and also for the first time in the series on the Playstation 3. One of the most important aspects of playing Trials is picking the right bike for the level you're playing, and deciding which statistic will be the most important (eg speed vs acceleration vs manoeuvrability etc). Trials Evolution was released as the followup to HD and ditched the Warehouse aesthetics of the previous games in favor outdoor settings.
Each bike had its own performance ratings (visible on the bike selection screen), and installing new parts did not change those ratings in any way.ģ) If bike upgrades did affect performance, it would result in imbalance. And I don't think Red Lynx would implement 'hidden' upgrades.Ģ) In Trials Evolution, bike upgrades had no impact on performance. In Trials Fusion, there is no such indication. Trials Fusion is a good game and I can only see it getting better over time as user-made levels excel and DLC is released but what’s there now, at launch, is a step down from Trials.

Normally when you get the opportunity to upgrade something in a video game (whether it's a bike, a car, a gun, or something else entirely), you will be presented with a number or a bar of some sort indicating whether it will make a positive or negative effect. Bike customisation does not affect performance in Trials Fusion:ġ) There is no indication of improved statistics in the customisation menu.
